World Cinema embraces all kinds of films, wherever they are from; whether they are masterpieces by established auteurs or debuts of emerging talents; whether they have already received countless acclaims, or yet to be unveiled to new audiences. When the world is feeling blue, filmmakers have inscribed profound thoughts into their works at this particular time. Some concern with our shared destiny through natural motifs; some portray their own land with poetic images; some touch on social issues through family stories, and some project their voices from afar with their films as speakers. We invite our audiences to gaze into the distance, to share a panoramic and kaleidoscopic vision of world cinema.
